Quick Start Guide

Set up in 5 minutes

Register an Azure Bot (Free)

  1. Go to portal.azure.com (free account)
  2. Search "Azure Bot" → Create
  3. Fill in:
    • Bot handle: any unique name (e.g. "meeting-recap-bot")
    • Pricing tier: F0 (Free) - 10,000 messages/month
    • Type of App: Multi Tenant
    • Creation type: Create new Microsoft App ID
  4. After creation, go to Configuration:
    • Messaging endpoint: https://reattend.com/api/teams-recap/messages
    • Copy the Microsoft App ID
  5. Go to Configuration → Manage PasswordNew client secret → Copy the value
  6. Under Channels, click Microsoft Teams to enable it

Download & Install the Teams App

  1. Click the "Download App" button above to get the Teams manifest ZIP
  2. In Microsoft Teams, go to Apps → Manage your apps → Upload a custom app
  3. Upload the ZIP file
  4. Add the bot to a channel or group chat

Start Collecting Recaps

  1. After a meeting, type @Recap recap in the channel
  2. A form card appears - everyone fills in decisions, action items, notes
  3. When ready, type @Recap done to compile the summary
  4. The bot posts a clean, organized recap card
